Redneck Fishing

A few weeks ago, I heard about a pub in Old Homosassa called, “The Old Mill.” The person who told me about this place informed me that I should keep my distance from the place due to it’s “shady history.” Apparently the Old Mill is a pretty rough place.

The decision was made the very second they told me about that – I needed to go!

Upon the first visit, I was quickly welcomed by a smokey environment, a dimly lit bar, and everything you would expect from a pub called, “The Old Mill.” To my surprise (and boredom), the people all inside were extremely nice!

After a few pints, I decided to make it a point to mingle with the locals and get to know some people. I came across a guy, named “Buddy” (no, not Joe!), and we were instant friends.

There was just one problem – I couldn’t understand a WORD he was saying.

Anyways, Buddy invited me out for a few beers and to catch some fish, and I had a blast! Again, the only problem was that I couldn’t understand a word he was saying.

Here’s a video to show how the locals roll in Old Homosassa.

I used to live in Old Town as we call it, and The Old Mill was one of my favorite haunts for cheap drinks and good times. So what if your darts partners missing a few teeth? He’s still a nice enough guy to buy you a round!

We love the Old Mill, but Colonel Frogs is where you’ll most often see us! BUT… the hope is you won’t know who we are :)
